Undergraduate Programs

Incoming freshmen can explore our undergraduate degree programs in business, accounting and law through the College of Business Administration. If you are a Business Administration or Accounting major, you can choose from many concentrations to help you focus on what interests you most.

Each program requires at least 120 credits. Some students may need additional credits depending on how University Core Curriculum courses apply.

All classes are held on the McNichols Campus. Evening and online or hybrid options are available for some classes.

    Undergraduate Concentrations

    Accounting Concentration

    Gain experience as a tax preparer through the VITA program. You’ll work with clients, build professional skills and graduate prepared for what comes next. (The Accounting concentration is not available for Accounting majors.)

    Business Intelligence Concentration

    Artificial intelligence is changing how businesses operate, making Business Intelligence one of today’s fastest-growing and most exciting fields to study.

    Business Law Concentration

    You can practice contract negotiations and witness actual court trials in person. Other topics include labor law, collective bargaining and legal aspects of business.

    Decision Sciences Concentration

    Learn how to use data to guide decisions and solve today’s key business challenges, including supply chain management.

    Finance Concentration

    Put investing into action in UDM’s Financial Markets Lab—manage a real stock and bond portfolio, publish The Long Strategy newsletter and learn from industry professionals. Support is available for students pursuing the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) credential.

    Human Resources Management Concentration

    Our graduates have taken positions as human resources leaders at numerous major firms, including Carhartt, DTE Energy, Michigan Medicine, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Doeren Mayhew and more.

    International Business Concentration

    Gain a global perspective and the skills to collaborate internationally. Past students have visited Italy, Spain, Morocco, Greece, Brazil, Germany, Ireland and beyond.

    Management Concentration

    Learn from world-class leaders, join the Sustainability Challenge and sharpen your teamwork and interview skills. Some topics include individual and group behavior, motivation, decision making and performance.

    Marketing Concentration

    Prepare for careers in advertising, sales, promotions and more—UDM marketing grads work at IBM, Ford, Sports Illustrated, Time Inc. and Plante Moran.

    Real Estate Concentration

    Study real estate with professionals, explore careers in development, management and investing, and get involved with UDM’s Real Estate Club. You may also compete for scholarships from the Ferguson Foundation.

    Social Entrepreneurship Concentration

    You’ll work with local start-ups and help allocate seed funding from the Social Innovation Fund. Students have launched the Entrepreneurship Association and even started their own business, the EA Café.

    Sports Management Concentration

    Turn your passion for sports into a career. UDM’s Sports Management program trains you for roles in management, marketing, or analytics, with graduates landing jobs with the Detroit Tigers and other pro teams
