Business graduate receives Vivere ex Missione Award
Master of Business Administration graduate Mark Formosa ’25, ’26 received University of Detroit Mercy’s (UDM) Vivere ex Missione Award during Commencement ceremonies in May.
Presented annually, the award recognizes four graduating students who exemplify Detroit Mercy’s mission by going beyond the expectations of their academic program to demonstrate the University’s core values.
“Mark is a fierce advocate for ethical business practices and is inspired by issues of justice,” said UDM President Donald B. Taylor. “He embodies the Mercy and Jesuit values, and his leadership contributed to the growth of several campus organizations and a stronger sense of community among students.”
“This incredible honor is a reminder to continue pursuing excellence through faith, service and purpose,” Formosa said. “This achievement would not have been possible without my faith in Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, as well as the support of my family, mentors and colleagues.”
Formosa recently began working as a tax analyst at Plastipak.
