Master of Science in Product Development (MPD)

The Master of Science in Product Development (MPD) degree program, offered collaboratively by the Colleges of Business Administration and Engineering & Science, is designed to help engineers move into product development leadership and management positions while remaining in engineering.

The 45-credit degree program was initiated by the Coalition for Product Development in the 21st Century, a collaboration of three academic institutions (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Rochester Institute of Technology and UDM) and six companies (Ford, GM, IBM, ITT, Polaroid and Xerox) as well as the U.S. Navy, with support from the National Science Foundation. This program is only available at UDM, MIT and RIT.
