BTM Program Options

The University of Detroit Mercy offers four options for students interested in Business Turnaround Management.

Masters of Science in BTM - The Masters of Science in Business Turnaround Management requires 30 credit hours of coursework. Students are required to take BTM 500: Business Turnaround Management and BTM 550: Ethical and Critical Thinking. In addition, students are required to complete a Capstone Project (Either BTM 596: Practicum, or BTM 599: Master's Thesis). The remaining credits can be taken from the available BTM courses.

Certification in BTM - The Certificate in Business Turnaround Management requires 15 credit hours or coursework. Students are required to take BTM 500: Business Turnaround Management and BTM 550: Ethical and Critical Thinking. In addition, students are required to complete three additional Core Courses.

MBA with BTM Specialization - MBA students may specialize in BTM by using their three electives to take courses from the BTM curriculum.

Non-credit BTM coursework - Students with a special interest can take individual courses without earning credit. This may be a fit for those who want to enhance their professional qualifications in their current or projected employment. A letter of recommendation from their employer is required with enrollment.
