Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management

Professor Mawhinney teaches organizational behavior and strategic policy. He has published research concerning reinforcement, work motivation and leadership in the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior and Journal Of Organizational Behavior Management conceptual analysis of work motivation and reinforcement processes in the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology Organizational Behavior and Human Performance and Performance Improvement Quarterly, and applied research concerning performance improvement in the Journal of Business and Psychology.

Mawhinney earned his B.A. and M.S. degrees from the University of South Florida and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University. He joined the University in 1987.
