Welcome to the Centre for Assurance Studies

The mission of the UDM Centre for Assurance studies is to provide training, research and technology transfer in information assurance. We offer worldwide recognized certification in information assurance standards as well as awareness programs for academia and industry.

Partnership programs

UDM extends its partnership with Universities and Colleges to form ICSEC (International Cyber Security Education Coalition) , formerly known as the Midwest Coalition for Information Assurance, to expand its membership to include universities, colleges, business, and industry partners across North Amercica and abroad.

The following partners of the ICSEC coalition include Eastern Michigan University, Regis University - Denver, Colorado a Jesuit University partner, Delta College- Michigan, Henry Ford Community College - Michigan, Lansing Community College- Michigan, Oakland Community College - Michigan, Owens Community College - Ohio, and Washtenaw Community College- Michigan. The goal is to expand the partnership over the next several years to promote IA education at an international level.

Assurance Scholarship Program

The University of Detroit Mercy's Centre for Assurance Studies invites student applicants for the Department of Defense's (DoD) annual Information Assurance Scholarship Program. This program provides full-tuition, fees and expenses plus a $10,000 yearly stipend ($15,000 for graduate students) and also offers a professional position with the federal government at the completion of the student's program. Career day with intelligence community draws crowd...

More than 450 students attended career information sessions with the National Security Agency and other state and federal government intelligence agencies on Nov. 9 in UDM's Student Center. Students also had the opportunity to learn about UDM's new graduate programs in Information Assurance and Intelligence Analysis.
