CBA Alumni Week—February 25-29, 2008

Alumni of the College of Business Administration (CBA) visited College classes during the week of Feb. 25 to share their knowledge and experience with students.

Keynote Address

Michael J. Brenner ’67, chief financial officer, executive vice president and a director of The Related Companies, LP, will be the week’s keynote speaker. He is responsible for overseeing the accounting, treasury, information systems, risk management and human resources divisions of the company. Brenner will be speaking about what makes a successful company and a successful career and how to choose the path that will take you there.

Previously, Brenner was a managing partner of the Industry Programs and Client Satisfaction initiatives at Coopers & Lybrand from 1993 to 1996, managing partner of its Detroit group of offices from 1986 to 1993, and chairman of its National Real Estate Industry Group from 1984 to 1986. From 1977 to 1984, he was a general practice partner in the Detroit office of Coopers & Lybrand, specializing in services to clients in the real estate industry. Brenner graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and from the University of Michigan with a Master of Business Administration.

Approximately 30 other CBA alumni will also participate in Alumni Week, which gives students the opportunity to experience a wide variety of industry perspectives.
